FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is Mark touring again?

Mark is constantly adding dates and preparing/updating his stage show throughout the year except when he's locked himself away to work on a project such as a new book. The appearances list on this site should be the most up to date source of appearances on stage and elsewhere that you can find. We strive to ensure the details are accurate and up to date but we do occasionally get it wrong, so please excuse us if we do. Please always check with the venue before heading off to an appearance. The right panel on the home page (and some other pages) of the site contains the current list of appearances. Each entry usually contains 2 links that you can follow. The first should take you to the booking office or homepage of the venue where Mark is appearing, the second link is usually a postcode and clicking it will open a new window with a map showing the location of the venue.

How do I book Mark for a show/tv/radio appearance?

Contact Mark's agent, Ed Smith at Phil McIntyre Ents, 35 Soho Square, London, W1D 3QX, Telephone: 020 7439 2270.

Will Mark's TV shows ever be released on DVD?

Simple answer, "no". It's been suggested and requested many times but it just isn't going to happen. If you are desperate to see the old shows you should find them out there on bit torrent sites such as uknova. If you're really stuck and have a particular show you want to see then drop us an email and we'll see what we can do about getting a copy to you if you will cover the costs of media, postage and packing. Some of the shows may be available from our audio/video section from time to time .

Is there a Mark Thomas e-mail discussion group?

There are two lists, a detailed one which is likely to get you tens or sometimes hundreds of individual email messages a day (you have been warned!). There is also a digest list will only get you one message a day containing all the messages posted to the detailed one in one big email.

To subscribe to the detailed list send an email message to MT Mailing list (Individual emails) with no subject and just the following single line in the body of the message (please delete your signature from your email if you have one set):

subscribe mark-thomas

To subscribe to the digest list send an email message to MT Mailing list (Daily digest email) with no subject and the following single line in the body of the message (again, please delete your signature from your email if you have one set):

subscribe mark-thomas-digest

To unsubscribe from the lists send another message to majordomo@gbnet.net replacing the word "subscribe" with the word "unsubscribe". Make sure you unsubscribe using the same email address that you subscribed with (assuming you have multiple email addresses) for this to work.

Where did the site forum go?

The previous site design had a forum where people could discuss issues relating to Mark's campaigns, appearances and shows and also discuss current affairs and other related and sometimes bizarre topics. It has not been possible to migrate the old forum to the new site design for various reasons but we may well bring a new forum onto the site in the future if there is (a) enough demand and (b) enough time for us to integrate and test new forum software to the site. We regret the loss of the forum as we had a lot of fun there so hopefully we'll bring one back soon. Many of the regular denizens of the old forum can be found here in the meantime.

I Have an MTCP email account, how do I access my mail?

These accounts were provided by the company that used to run Mark's old and defunct web site (www.mtcp.co.uk) and are hosted by a free external company that we have no control of. You can still access your mail by logging in at the site at http://mail.mtcp.net.
